Role synopsis
The Control Room Operator - Production Technician (CRO-PT) is a member of a multidiscipline operations team, reporting to the Production Team Leader. The main purpose of this position is to provide input to maximize optimization of production systems.
The CRO-PT is primarily accountable for maximizing the optimization and monitoring of the process equipment via computer (DCS & PLC) systems for desired pressure, temperature, levels and tracking throughput.
The CRO-PT identifies and assists in managing process upsets and collects long-term performance data. Monitoring well performance, the CRO-PT recommends flow changes to optimize production volumes while performing trend analysis and ensuring documentation/procedures are current and accurate.
Applicants must be willing to enter work force as a Production Tech. Upon completion of the required training/ development/certification process, Job Title will be changed to Control Room Operator (CRO).
Essential Education
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Essential experience and job requirements
Recent experience as a control room operator
5 or more years experience in petrochemical industry
Advanced working knowledge of pumps, compressors, control systems, chemical and corrosion mitigation systems - Demonstrated technical expertise in multiple disciplines
Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States; and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., TN, H1B status), now or in the future.

Must be willing to enter work force as a Production Tech. Upon completion of the required training/ development/certification process, Job Title will be changed to Control Room Operator (CRO).
The willingness and ability to serve as a member of an emergency response team
The willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts offshore on a fixed or floating oil and gas production platform in the Gulf of Mexico
You will be traveling to Houma Louisiana, at your own expense, on a rotational 14 days on/off schedule in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
The willingness and ability to work in small/confined places, as well as work on high platforms, walk on high elevation grating and walk up and down steps
The willingness and ability to ride in a helicopter or boat over Gulf of Mexico waters for extended periods and be transferred to/from a boat via personnel basket swung by a crane with or without reasonable accommodations
The willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
The willingness and ability to successfully complete a fitness for duty assessment
Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card (Transportation Workers Identity Card)
Desirable criteria & qualifications
Intimate knowledge of Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BESSE) and USCG regulations and experience in working with their inspectors
Marine experience
Recognized outside own site for technical ability and expertise
Able to interact effectively with company & contractor personnel on location to get the job done
Strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance record
Experienced in all aspects of oil and gas operations, including export pipeline systems
Experienced in simultaneous operations involving production, well maintenance, and construction activities
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence others
Strong teamwork skills with experience in working with engineers and multi -discipline teams
