Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Senior Designer- Hydraulics in Houma, Louisiana.
POSITION
Summary:
Develop new hydraulic systems and improve older designs in order to expand company product line and capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Interpret client specifications and apply them to the project / equipment design.
Understand regulatory requirements and apply them to the project / equipment design.
Prepares product or system layout and schematics.
Plans and develops test procedures, installation procedures, and acceptance criteria.
Analyzes proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of products proposed.
Confers with engineering personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design.
Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
Confers with engineering personnel to prepare design modifications as required.
Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
Able to identify, suggest, and implement design modifications as required.
Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic systems for both new production and Aftermarket.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. This will include Inventor and AutoCAD.
OTHER DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Provide technical sales support to sales representatives, contract administrators, project managers and engineers.
Provide technical customer support.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five years experience in crane or similar hydraulic system applications.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of hydraulic systems and can interpret schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
