Field Service Technician I, II, and III

Houma, LA Houma, LA Full-time Full-time $25 - $38 an hour $25 - $38 an hour Responsible for all field service activities including installation, testing, servicing, and repairing valve, PSV, and wellhead equipment.
Maintains customer base by performing timely and competent service work.
Mentors other Field Service Technicians as necessary if training and experience is superior.
Responsibilities:
Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
Checks compatibility of equipment, inspecting condition, dry fitting and communicating relevant information with customer.
Installs and tests equipment in accordance with operating procedures.
Service all equipment as requested by customers in accordance with maintenance procedures.
Repairs all equipment as requested by customers and as necessary due to field malfunctions.
Is competent with all service tool equipment including lubricators.
Maintains service vehicle and equipment.
Ensures periodic maintenance consistent with Company policy and promptly reports required repairs to Service Manager.
Provides feedback to the Company through reporting of field problems and failures to the Service Manager for processing Field Complaint Reports.
Identifies and ensures appropriate tools, backup equipment and parts are available at or taken on service job.
Prepares Field Service Orders, Rental Tickets and customer required documents accurately and completely.
Maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing timely and competent service.
Special projects or assignments as directed by management.
Education, Training, and
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Customer required training.
Licenses or Certifications:
Certified in H2S, SafeGulf, T2, Water Survival and all other specialized training required by customers for Gulf of Mexico locations.
Job Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Product, Customer Service Best Practices, Service Documentation and Record Keeping, Wellhead and Valve Equipment Compatibility, Wellhead and Valve Installation, Operation, and Maintenance, PSV Testing, Field Equipment Repair, Equipment Troubleshooting of OEM Equipment.
Intermediate Computer, Language, and Mathematical Skills.
Intermediate Reasoning Ability.
